Mirius are delighted to announce we have struck gold at the prestigious Make UK regional manufacturing awards ceremony.
The awards, sponsored by legal firm Bevan Brittan, and organised by Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation, were held in Warwick to recognise the achievements of companies from across the Midlands with the winners going on to the National Finals to be held in London in January.
Mirius was awarded the Make UK Midlands Innovation Award. The award celebrates innovations executed through new products, processes, marketing and business models. Showing strategic intent, greater productivity, efficiency and business growth.
Despite stiff competition from some of the UK’s largest and most technologically advanced manufacturing sectors (including well known businesses from the defence & aerospace industry) – Mirius’s innovative business model shone through, receiving exemplary praise from the panel of Make UK judges.
A very special thank you to our Plant Manager Vaidas Cerkunovas and Purchasing Manager Vilnis Liepins for collecting the award.
Charlotte Horobin, Region Director for Make UK in the Midlands, said: “These awards are a testament to the dynamic companies and individuals working within our engineering and manufacturing sectors. Theses sectors remain at the heart of creating wealth in the Midlands and as we re-build our economy there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent.”
Monica Macheng of Bevan Brittan said: “We’re thrilled to be a supporter of Make UK and the regional awards, celebrating excellence in manufacturing across the UK. After a challenging 18 months it’s the perfect time to come together and celebrate our collective achievements”
